Sunlife resolution run 2019

New year double happiness for Sunlife resolution run 2019. Wasnt in good shape after dam busy december last year and early this year. As usual hilly route in botanical garden & double hill for this race which I am weak in this part. Thanks abang din for the pacing and we run through quite traffic free morning race. Eling was able to finish within targeted time though she too having insufficient training. Time to catch back whatever left out and yet Chinese new year come again the obstacle :-( . Thanks Chin Ong for the help too ;-) the medal look nice and organizer various booths has made this race exciting as ever.

Shah Alam Half Marathon 2018

Shah Alam Half Marathon 2018: Doesn't really target for good result over this last min race. Insufficient mileage, raining everyday has hampered our training plan. Running through Shah alam area has never been an easy task with hilly course almost every km. My first 13km was well within target pace whereas last 5km is total out of shape. Lucky that still managed to finished within places offered. EeLing Ong was having her bad day by almost getting heat stroke end of the race. Some lesson to learn for. Though she was able to grab a 3rd placing. Overall the route was well managed with safety cone along the route,sufficient water station,nice medal with name carving is something special offered for this event. #o2running

Sunshine Charity Run 2018

Sunshine Charity Run 2018: Wasnt in good condition to run the race,stomachache throughout and thanks God managed to finish within podium. The same issue goes to EeLing Ong. Road Marshall insufficient which can lead to wrong running route. Other than that all are fine.#02running

UM Race, Great Eastern Women Run 2018

2 races in KL last weekend was something to remember. UM Race has always been EeLing Ong "home" race where she's been here training for quite some time.Many thanks ET Tey for nice photoshoot. The same day we went to Greateastern Race which quite crowded at first yet the spacious Bkt jalil area has helped ease those issue lil bit. Celebrity event as usual with many national elites joined. Eeling has to endure dog fight with a seasonal elite gal for first few km before pulling off. Great to see she's able came back with podium also a consolation for her effort so far. Many food booth offered,with games booth around which is very happening. Definately a good event inside the runners camp but not for traffic management that need improve further. Time for shopping & eating #o2running

Performance Series for Penang Leg 2018

Performance Series for Penang Leg 2018: A typical Georgetown 10km route run. Nice starting venue at Fort Cornwallis. Run through town road at this early cool morning which keep chasing with Muniandi. Feel good to be able to run my targetted race pace by finishing in the podium place. EeLing Ong has met up her nemies this time though having a tough challenge against the champ gal. Overall it's a well organized event with special medal. Only area to improve is on certain route shall be controlled with traffic crossing and bottle neck entrance after finishing line resulted in long queue. #02running

Vangohh Eminemnt Run 2018

Vangohh Eminemnt Run 2018: Never really think of this small kampung area can has this huge 5 star facility hotel but they do manage to bring Machang bubok town to known more by outsider. Run through rural town road is something safe yet breezing in this rainy season. Body dont really recover but just a typical pace to finish off.As usual behind fast runner Owyang. EeLing Ong too feel performance was way beyond her expectation yet managed to come back first. Time to recharge after this. #02running

Northern Construction Run,Asics relay,ACKU Charity Race 2018

B3b races this weekend. Such a hassle by going through north and down south for KL races.

Northern Construction Run in Sintok: first trip to UUM sintok town. Small simple race which I like about is not using timing chip. Remind me of conventional race though nowaday most using chip. Glad to be able secure first place together with EeLing Ong after so long we didnt do so. Nowaday men open category is just tough nut to crack.

Asics relay 2018: Kakithon Relay Team again come back to push for this tough race after sundown early May. This race is total differ surrounding in Bkt Jalil Stadium, strong mentality is a must for this race. My first baton was with those crazy fast elite, only managed some top 10 in my part. Eling put up her usual pace to maintain our position which actually 4th behind Kenyan,Asic and Arul Club. Come to Ethan Chan 3rd baton run a fast first 5km and ensureKeng Jun Wong completed the last baton with ease. Kudos to all member trying so hard to get to this journey. The race is never over as long our passion is still alive.

ACKU Charity Race: Though is a small race which clash with some big $ race but still few elites come over. Wasn't good enough on last 1km that put me out of no.5 consider this as recovery race. Eling put a strong performance by capturing 1st in her category. Both Ethan & Wong have take it to the toll after last night race. Time to shopping guys.... #02running #kakithon

SP Half Marathon & Parit Buntar Kampung Run 2018

SP Half Marathon & Parit Buntar Kampung Run 2018: Both run never join before thus crave for some funs up north & down south. Joined 12km category while running @ normal pace which challenge against local youngster. My poor last km pace caused me off 1st placing. EeLing Ong run through against men veteran while behind eventual champ Amelia. Has to rush for work on saturday after prizes ceremony. Overall Sp Mr Gani has did well to ensure smooth race even though held in rainy condition.

Parit Buntar Kampung Run was actually held near Kuala Kurau a fishing village that I quite fond of since small also its nearby both tanjung piandang & kuala gula. Fresh seafood can be obtained here easily. If u like cockle & dry shrimp then kuala gula, other 2 famous of Ikan kurau. Run through scenery seaview road in rainy route as well. Eventual champ Ahmad luth was too tough to challenge. 10 has her maiden champ over here. Overall it's a well organized race with nice medal,ample of hampers,traffic free route but no water in toilet is just a small hiccup. #02running

2018 Terengganu Sultan Mahmud Bridge International Run

2018 Terengganu Sultan Mahmud Bridge International Run: Very long didnt join this race though every year keep talking to EeLing Ong plan to join, in the end apa pun takda. So this year we decided to drive all d way frm Penang to Kuala Terengganu on Friday morning with gruesome 6hrs ride and race at midnight for half marathon distance.
It's our first & last half marathon in this year as we seldom do mileage program. Weather was cool breezing with mild rain before race. Both of us didnt target much as we would prefer to do a good time first. Race start sharply at 1.30am with some elites running at 3:30pace which I knew is a suicide pace for me. Was catching up with 2 front runner who were @3:50. After 8k I was following on this runner throughout the race. Been run for so many years and my first time to meet such unsporting runner in my life. Whenever I was surging to pass by him,he will move his body to block me frm going through. Be it left or right,though both of us strength are almost same. Luck was on my side with my last 300m sprint with another runner,I managed to pull off this fler. My reminder to others is beware of him whenever you meet him during race. Forget about the incident and the good thing is came off with my pb over here.
10 has her maiden race here which bring her luck of getting podium though she's having hard time using new shoes for this race. Overall this is a well organized race. Road was closed up control well by marshals,ample of water station,nice medal etc. Good development event for youngster too. Time to enjoy after whole body pain race... #o2running

Butterworth Run 2018

Butterworth Run 2018: First time join race nearby hometown after few edition missed. Run through familiar Mak mandin industrial area,raja uda, butterworth-sp trunk road. As organizer has started the race early thus runners can go through almost traffic free route. Anyway route was shorter by 1km on last min changes. Wasn't a good $ race yet attract few elites come over. Ran alone throughout the race eventually finished well within my targeted pace though missed a place in top 3. EeLing Ong ran along with men veteran runner and managed to hit ideal pace by securing 1st in her category. Overall it's a well organized race though abit kedekut in medal & t-shirt provided. Plastic trophy also cant replicate in time by mentioning to give us next time. Went to Appolo market enjoy some nice local dishes that shall not missed. #02running

Penang Hill Heritage Forest Challenge 2018

Penang Hill Heritage Forest Challenge 2018: First time join which doesn't really expect for tough competition esp. in my category. Race route consist of trail + bituminous road, runners need to have high mental & physical strength to overcome up down hill trail with quite ample of trail step. In this kind of race,safety shall always been priority to avoid injury that can be risk in future. Was run along with devan & khir both strong veteran runner,salute for their spirit though at their age. Was lucky managed to grab some consolation in the end. EeLing Ong too facing strong challenge frm amelia & 2 penang gal but is glad to be able finished safely. A podium finishing was her reward. Lamented no more such race in future...lol. overall it's a well organized state government event. Nice medal,ample of lucky draw,free rail ride etc.#o2running

Bomba Run & NPE Highway Run 2018

Bomba Run & NPE Highway Run 2018: First time join bomba run,a run rated as elite race which I was quite scare to join.ha! Race start at 7.30am which is 1hour late frm initial planned 6.30am. One of the most late start ever endured by standing 1hour at starting line. Usual running route within KL lake town & mahameru highway. Maintain my pace toward end of this hilly race. Though wasn't at my peak condition but managed to perform within training expectation pace. Glad still being squeeze into top 10. EeLing Ong too wasn't in her best condition due to stomachache but luck was with her side of getting 3rd placing. Keng Jun Wong was trying his best run his training strategic that shall get him into better position.

NPE Highway Run 2018: compare to last year my performance was down a bit this time. Know that those arul's junior team will run their fast pace out there. Trying to close gap with them. Can't ask for more with the time achieved on my b2b race. Eling got her another 3rd placing this time. Wong was posing faster pace compare yesterday. Overall it's a well organized event with car free highway experience. #kakithon #o2running

Pj Half Marathon 2018

Pj half marathon 2018: Special 30years edition for this year with additional 30km category. Consider competitive run with good prizes offered. Travelling down to KL has taken almost 7hours due to massive accident in PLUS Highway due to trailer. Thnx ah Wong for helping in bib collection and our host of race this time around. Race consist of hilly route yet Marshall have done their job well to control traffic. Ample of water & sponsor booths which is a fun for runners to enjoy after finishing. Was recovering frm Jit sin poor race pace. Managed to do well in first 5km while last 5km need to tune up further. Main challenger from Aruls club which i'm trying to close up gap with them.EeLing Ong has a competitive race in her category where 3 of kl fast legs are joining. She did well to stay close with them though can get better. Keng JunWong doing great to run a good time in 30k...shopping time after this hard earned race... #o2running

2018 Jit Sin Private Run

2018 Jit sin private run: first time joined after so many years which wasnt over here. Race organised by bunch of students which i seen that they work out well before the race. Race started sharp 6.30am, route wasnt fully cordoned off but on these BM roads early morning is still manageable. Run till half way there came mild rain, wasnt at my best to catch up with forward promising youngster. Saw EeLing Ong bad mood of her wrong direction on last km. To her dismay her lead cyclist also dont know the direction n brought her to holland. One of my training youngster was disqualified of his lack of wristband which i feel quite unfair since hes actually just behind me. The fact organiser strict on this wristband issue yet wasnt in place to distribute wristband well during race is a nightmare to runner. Dispute has surfaced on my open category which we managed to solve behind stage with all 5 winners. The case wasnt that smooth for ee ling's womens open which 1 of winner with 2nd place tag is DQ. Argument on final winner list raised that organiser shall improve on this part. #o2running

Penang Chinese Cross Country 2018

Penang Chinese Cross Country 2018: Back to race after skipped last year. Can see a lot of young runners, a good sign for Penang distance running. As usual front leader by ow yang and ultimate champ. Was changing lead with his team manager who is a strong veteran runner as well. Last few km was exhausted and leaped by another forward triathlon runner. Quite dissapointed with the performance, need to bounce back but raya coming...oh another rest mood hurdle lol! EeLing Ong was running a good pace race and managed to bring BM leopard women's team champ. Kudos to all the 花木兰 runner. ThnxLee Beng Hee bro for helping sign up & congratz uncle Ks Yeoh BM leopard team glory
